Breakout Adafruit (production code 4503) per il chip ST LSM6DS3TR-C 6-DoF (accelerometro 3-assi + giroscopio 3-assi). PCB compatta con regolatore di tensione + level shifter onboard → input 3.3V o 5V indistinto, perfetta per chain mista. 2× connettori STEMMA QT (=Qwiic, JST-SH 1.0mm) per daisy-chain plug-and-play sullo stesso bus I2C di MAX-M10S, OLED, RTC. Sia I2C che SPI esposti via pin header. Per Visla è il successore moderno del legacy MPU-6500 (EOL): stesso form factor, library Arduino + CircuitPython attivamente mantenute.

  • Chain-able sullo stesso bus I2C XIAO Expansion Board: addr 0x6A non collide con MAX-M10S 0x42, OLED 0x3C, RTC 0x51 — setup multi-sensor canonico Visla v2 bench
  • Voltage regulator + level shifter: input 3.3V o 5V indifferente, niente preoccupazione di damaging il chip ST (che è 3.3V-only)
  • I2C o SPI: flessibile per use case high-speed (SPI per data logging 1+ kHz) o standard (I2C per polling rates <100 Hz)
  • Library Adafruit_LSM6DS3TRC mantenuta: pattern Arduino battle-tested, esempi out-of-box per crash detect / step counter / tilt

⚠️ Gotchas

  • STEMMA QT = Qwiic = stesso identico connettore (JST-SH 1.0mm). Cavi compatibili al 100% tra SparkFun, Adafruit, Seeed
  • Per collegarlo all’XIAO Expansion Board (Grove JST 2.0mm) serve un cavo Grove↔Qwiic / Grove↔STEMMA QT (es. Adafruit 4528 o Seeed 103020292)
  • I2C default 100 kHz; setClock(400 kHz) safe con chain di 4 device
  • 4 pull-up I2C in chain ~10kΩ ciascuno → effettivo ~2.5 kΩ, OK per 400 kHz, no problemi
  • Pin INT1/INT2 (motion wake) esposti su header — utili per wake-on-motion firmware Visla v2
